Dinner and a movie
MAMMAL partnered with TBS to refresh Dinner and a Movie, delivering ten 5-second bumpers, a 10-second open, and a toolkit for trivia and various fun facts. Inspired by genres including comedy, superhero, monster, and blockbuster action, we explored how iconic film tropes could be reimagined through outrageous food characters.
Created through a layered collage technique, the visuals feel silly, handmade, and joyfully chaotic. Concepts ranged from Forbidden Love, starring pizza and pineapple in the pairing that was never meant to be, to Shrimp Flambé, an unstoppable shrimp struts in slow motion as a fiery explosion erupts behind him.

open
For the open, we aimed to create a seamless camera move that travels through multiple environments. By combining each of the spot's layered environmental elements, we created the illusion that each world exists within the next.
snack facts
Using each of the 10 animations, we created simplified backgrounds that could be used for fun fact bumpers, trivia, and social posts. We also built out an After Effects toolkit to make the text easily editable for the client.
